5180 – Super Scribblenauts (USA) [NEW PATCH]

Scribblenauts changed the way we thought about playing portable computer games. No, it really did. How many times have you played a game and thought 'I know! I'll see if I can get a dinosaur to sit on this evil magician and grab the crystal using a boomerang'? Yeah, thought so – a lot, right?

5th Cell's Nintendo DS platformer saw players write the names of objects to bring them to life and help overcome the game's various obstacles. Super Scribblenauts takes that to the next level, by allowing the player to write any object that comes to mind and modify it in any way they choose using adjectives.

The goal remains the same – take advantage of the DS' touch screen to reach the goal marker. This time, lead hero Maxwell aims to acquire the Starite, a prize earned from solving the puzzle in redesigned levels. It makes for some fun interactions, but the addition of adjectives add a lot of depth.

Now, objects can be defined by colour, size, particular elements and behaviour patterns. Combine multiple adjectives together and get yourself a truly original object created right in front of you. Recognition of more words also allows for greater creativity so you can let your imagination run wild!
